Since April 2005, SOAPkidz has empowered more than 13 000 vulnerable children and about 3500 volunteers by connecting them to nature where they experienced love and personal growth. As non-profit organisation, we aim to create environmental awareness and promote nature conservation amongst underprivileged and abused children

With the help of the various outdoor activity groups – mountaineering, canoeing, mountain biking, hiking and orienteering clubs, as well as volunteers who help out with supervision, we teach these children about nature, the preservation thereof, life, friendship, first aid, prevention and living with HIV & Aids, trust, loyalty, courage, communication, team work, business, marketing and social skills, etc. Every activity incorporates environmental clean-up projects with a prize for the team who collects the most litter or weeds

CSC is a non-profit Christian organisation  that consists of a professional network of social workers that truly give hope to people in despair. CSC operates through 17 Centres of Hope located in three provinces in South Africa: Gauteng, Limpopo and North West

We focus on giving people the opportunity to live life to their full potential through our team approach & three main community programs: Family preservation, Child Protection (which includes Adoptions & Fostering), Poverty Alleviation and HIV/AIDS

At these centres a lot of people are involved to make a great success of them: 54 social workers, 30 students, 25 administrative employees and 200 volunteers. The Christian Social Council North is the coordinating body of the different Centres of Hope, providing the overall management and capacity building for the Centres. Our main aim is to give hope to people in despair

The Storehouse was formed on 1 September 2000 when floods hit Mozambique and Mpumalanga. At this time we felt that there is a need to be mobilized and prepared to help those who suffer from disasters such as floods, earthquakes etc, by having basic items such as food, clothing, furniture, etc on hand. Should a natural disaster occur, or a home be destroyed by fire, as many in our country do, due to lack of proper housing, we would be able to distribute these items immediately wherever possible

We assist registered ministries, non-profit organisations and public benefit organisations to reach those in need of clothing, blankets, household goods, furniture, appliances and food parcels

How we work with received goods:

Sorting:
All clothes are sorted into categories of usable / non-usable / dirty / clean / seasonal

Preparation:
All dirty clothes are washed and ironed

The Storehouse receives requests from approved organisations

Parcels are made up as per request
according to size, gender and season

Each parcel consist of outfits, shoes and a small gift

Distribution:
The NPO/PBO or ministry collects their orders from The Storehouse and distributes to their beneficiarie

Children who are placed in a child care centre are legally obligated to leave at the age of 18 or at the end of his/her secondary education. These young adults are literally without any economic or emotional support, yet must face the world alone. The Jakaranda and Louis Botha Children’s Homes strive to dismiss the developmental hindrances that its children have experienced and to introduce them to a wide range of opportunities, develop their skills, and aid them in reaching their full potential. This will enable the children to act as responsible adults when they leave the Homes
